One Year After

Greetings all who stumble onto these pages. The observant amongst our readers will probably have noticed that I don’t blog often these days. There are a number of reasons for this… too many to concern ourselves with here. Suffice it to say that my days are brimful.

A year ago, I wrote about the forest fire that threatened many nearby homes. These pics were taken at the spot a few days ago, and as you can see, all shall be well. These photos do not fully convey the chilliness of our waterlogged Summer, yet still we hope a more pleasant month awaits us.

As always, I wish my online friends the happiest of times, (in spite of all), and I hope to be back soon. Peace from A.

Pray, even if you feel nothing, see nothing. For when you are dry, empty, sick or weak, at such a time is your prayer most pleasing to God, even though you may find little joy in it. This is true of all believing prayer.

Easter Day

I’m back. Happy Easter everybody. This day is even more significant than Christmas. It’s been a whole year since our last post. My sincere apologies to all our friends who enquired about my welfare. Due to a combination of health, and complex WP connection difficulties, I’ve been unable to reply before now. So this is my first opportunity to say thank you – may the wind be always at your back.

The Greek church was photographed many years ago, while I was out strolling in the neighbourhood.

I hope to return soon, when I will update you on my current adventures. Until then, Peace from Amras.

Every sacrifice made to help another, honours Christ.

Happy Christmas

I wouldn’t let Yuletide pass without wishing all our readers the best Christmas, and happiest New Year possible. The storm rages, and the angry waters of chaos churn and boil all around us. Yet in the hearts of those who cross the bridge connecting their souls to heaven, peace is profound. Knowledge conquers fear, courage is the flower of faith, and inner silence conquers all.

Like so many readers, I have been forbidden to see my family and friends. I haven’t seen my dear brother since Christmas last, and he today remains unseen. The hurt and sadness we all feel and share as one, in these revelatory moments, is sacred, and profound precisely because these moments are being shared by billions of us all at once. Can you imagine how it will be when the table turns? In one moment all will know that we are free. Just imagine a tidal wave of infectious joy washing over us on that day – when in the streets and houses, fields, and sky, as even on the sea, we all embrace. Pray for it.

Some readers might notice that I haven’t been publishing as much as usual. I have been kept very busy this year composing and recording music from my room, in collaboration with a young producer. It’s a very long-drawn process because my fingers can rapidly grow too painful to use, and don’t recover quickly. That doesn’t stop me doing it though. So far I’ve no idea when or where we might publish. Stay tuned.

To the many who like and follow our blog, I thank you sincerely for your interest. I have been unable to ‘like’ your blogs for many months, due, no doubt, to some bug in wordpress. If/When it is fixed, you’ll see me on your blogs again.

Until then, and whenever I post again, may this Christmas reveal its sacred core of divine truth in every readers heart.

“All shall be well, all shall be well…For there is a Force of love moving through the universe that holds us fast and will never let us go.”

To the Glory

May

Just a tribute to the glory of May. The month dedicated to the mother of Jesus. When the cloak of blue adorns the corners of the wooded wilds, and fondly lays a royal carpet at the foot of every standing tree.

The month is almost over, and the bluebells will fade from view; but their beauty is eternal, and there is a blessing in the knowing that they will return again next year. And hopefully, I will return again next month. Until then, remember every day to shut out the raging cacophony as often you can. Truly there is peace to be found in silence.

May tooDo you see yourself, abiding within yourself, in pure solitude? Does nothing now remain to shatter that interior unity, nor anything cling to your authentic self? Are you entirely that sole true light which is not contained by space, not confined to any circumscribed form, not diffused as something without term, but ever immeasurable as something greater than all measure and something more than all quantity?

Plotinus.

Softly Whispered

Now David had been told, “Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom.” So David prayed, “Lord, turn Ahithophel’s counsel into foolishness.”

Greetings. In March I wrote a little about forgiving. This is extremely difficult to achieve when we are experiencing the unforgivable. However, if we are seeking sincerely for a way to forgive those who hurt us, perhaps we might feel inspired to pray very simply from our deepest hearts, like David once did, that their wicked deeds shall simply come to nothing.

Rancour is the chain that binds the wingèd soul to pain – and wings that were designed to fly might never span the sky again.

About the pics. The elevated path winds lazily through forested avenues, where celestial streams of golden light dance freely with the drifting shadows – and welcomes all with softly whispered breezes to the golden throne of the eternal crowned sun.

I hope our readers are standing firmly in the sunshine of inner peace. Despite the rising clamour of external events, personal victory is born in silence.

Meanwhile, winter lingers in my bones, demanding time and effort for every little task. So I will take this opportunity to thank everyone who finds time to spend with our posts. After a recent update, it has become almost impossible to ‘like’ blogs on any device. This nuisance has happened before, but the talents of this blogging community deserves attention. So I will take this opportunity to thank everyone who finds time to spend with our posts. It is an honour, because yours are brilliant. I hope to be back soon, until then, peace, stay well, and be strong.

“Finally, may we indeed, keep in our hearts, that our humble blogs are the spirits that keep the World Wide Web humane. Let us use this gift to flourish as people! Let us cherish one another! And be thankful for one another, because at some point, we touch our respective lives.”  ~ Aina Balagtas https://lyricssentimentsandme.wordpress.com
