On the Hill of Avalon

Warmest greetings. It’s been a while since we visited Glastonbury, and we felt it was time to make the pilgrimage once again. Because I am unable to travel, Amanda’s sister took my place. It was her first time in Avalon, and I think it fair to say it took her breath away. These pics, which take you from street level, to the view from St Michael’s Tower, were taken only days ago; while the featured pic was taken back in 2005. Please enjoy.

Lets stroll through fields and forests fair,

To touch the Earth, to breathe the air,

And take the pics we wish to share,

With all who love, and all who care.

As Hot as June

Continuing our marathon picture posting period, this time at our local garden centre. It was a March day, as hot as June, and time to pick some garden blooms. With its friendly tea shop, and pleasing atmosphere, our time in the see through nursery was well-spent.

As you can see, while Amanda was busy, choosing flowers, I was relaxed, sampling tea.

So, until next time, I will raise my cup and say a hearty cheers to all our readers.

Those whose eyes are open do not need to go to a church and look at a picture or statue of the Lord. In the eyes of every infant, in the smile of every innocent child, they receive the blessing of Christ.

Wings and Water

Greetings from a place of good expectations, where we cheerily anticipate the coming warm weather. Amanda took these pics during her most recent visit to our sons home in Weybridge, which is close to London. And what a beautiful day that was for April. The little white flowers, and butterfly, were taken in our garden, but they begged to be included. I hope you agree.

Because I lack sufficient stamina to continue writing, I will rest for now, but not before saying thank you to all of our readers and followers, with our gratitude for the support you bring to this, our peace-loving blog.

And with that, it’s Peace again, and out from me

While it Lasts

A Happy New Year to everybody. In these photos you can see how mild, and muddy we are having it for the time of year. It was chillier, in fact, throughout July and August than it is today. You won’t hear any complaints, however, from local folk, who are enjoying it while it lasts.

My brotherly thanks to all readers, and fellow bloggers. If sometimes I can be a bit slow to respond to you, this is due entirely to the ups and downs of living daily with an infirmity.

Meanwhile, a brand new year of opportunity beckons, and, when we look for them, opportunities to do good come to each one of us every day.

With my best wishes to everyone: peace from Amras.
