With sincere appreciation to all our readers and followers. We wish you all a very Happy Christmas, and the blessings and joys of inner peace throughout the coming year.
I’ll finish with Amanda’s Christmas message to her FB friends, which I find quite moving:
Until 2016, Namaste from Amras.
Holy Days
Beauty in The Dark
We all came here to find those friends,
On whom our happiness depends,
Who, lost in thickest forests now,
Are seeking solace out of sight,
And when we finally embrace,
Their trust, regained within the night,
We’ll leave the forests, hand in hand,
To fly back home, and reunite.
One night, while walking with my martial arts teacher, we saw a man stop to watch ballet dancers through a studio window. He stayed for just a moment before disappearing into the night. “For a moment in time,” my teacher said, “He found beauty in the dark.” And, ‘moments in time’ are all that we have. I liked that, especially as I understand that moments in time are all that we may share; and, I felt it advisable to create the sort of moments for others that I would like others to create for me.
Generally speaking, the man who is misunderstood, who is frequently criticized,
is likely to be doing something worthwhile. It is the person with whom everyone agrees
that is lost in the mass of mediocrity. The head that lifts itself above the others has
the rock thrown at it, so we need not be concerned when people criticize us.
Of course it is normal to want people to like us, and a good thing to say to ourselves
when people criticize us is: “If people knew me better they would like me.”
This is literally true, for if we could know every man in the right way
we would certainly find something in him to admire.
