An Enchanted Ingress

Hello there to all readers. This whimsical pixie doorway exists somewhere in England. I suspect it’s hidden from mortal eyes, normally; yet Amanda spotted it, serendipitously, one day during her travels. Hence the pic.

It reminds me of a time, long ago, when I allowed a friend to take me on a journey by way of a guided visualisation. I became a case study for his psychotherapy assignment. This doorway is just like the one he bade me walk through at the beginning of our first session. Looking back, I remember it was a fascinating, and revealing experience, and one which I would recommend any keen psychonaut to undertake.

The last few weeks have continued to challenge my health, and I find myself quite exhausted for much of the time. As a consequence of this, it can take me a while to catch up with online developments. Please bear with me, and thank you so much, as always, for dropping by.

So, with the sound of hooting coming from the tawny owl perched just outside my window, it’s farewell from the faerie realms, (and until next time, along with prayers of peace for our human world, it’s best wishes from me).

The ego wants what you do to be important. As a way of intruding on your spirituality and delaying the truth, it tries to make what you do in the world important and special.
How can anything that occurs in an illusion be important if you actually understand it’s not real?
Only forgiveness and your healing matter. True, that kind of a teaching may not be the basis for a popular religion that takes over the world and tells everybody else how they should be living their lives – but it is definitely the truth.

Line of Sight

Roads go ever ever on

Under cloud and under star,

Yet feet that wandering have gone

Turn at last to home afar.

Eyes that fire and sword have seen

And horror in the halls of stone

Look at last on meadows green

And trees and hills they long have known.*

Namaste dear readers, and welcome to all new friends, and followers.

I took the above pics in 2007, from my wheelchair, somewhere in Devon, England. My legs a seat, four wheels my feet, I always need a push. On that day, my wife, son, and brother each took a turn at pushing me. For days like these I feel truly very grateful.

While life on the outside flows with fresh challenges, I will never allow myself to forget that place of stillness on the inside, symbolised by this chapel, standing alone in the fields.

And though the journey be a noisy one, I will always keep that silent chapel in my line of sight.

Until next time, Peace from Amras.

When you become aware of the presence within, you awaken from a deep sleep.  You become aware of the beauty around you.  Things that once seemed a burden are no longer a burden.  You become aware that nothing is yours and yours alone.  You are aware that all things and all people belong to God.  You know you are his child and you see that if you are a child of God, all others are children of God.

The Irresistible

Now, as the days grow shorter, and the trees shed their summer gear, I felt it was a good time to look back to just a few days ago, when those trees were at their most handsome. The irresistible wish to share such beauty fell upon the pics above. I hope you enjoy them.

Living as we do, in an aggressively materialistic society, we are sometimes subjected to scoffing tongues and pointed type. Many folk dedicate themselves to discouraging others from their spirituality. We all suffer for their ignorance.

As we need more light than darkness in our lives, I would ask any friendly reader, who agrees with me, to consider such folk in their payers tonight.

With that, I wish peace for every living soul. Namaste from Amras.

any road will take you there.

In The Eyes Of Every Infant

17th

If one would realize that the world of God, His splendour and magnificence, are to be seen in the wise and the foolish, in the good and the bad, then one would think tolerantly and reverently of all mankind, knowing that it represents the messenger, as the messenger represents God. For no one has seen God at any time, but if there is anyone who represents God, it is the man who speaks His word. God is seen in the one who glorifies Him. But if our hearts are closed, even if we wait for a thousand years for the messenger to show himself, we shall never find him. For he who is always there has said, ‘I am Alpha and Omega. I exist every moment. When you call me, I am there. Knock at the door, and I will answer you.’ And those whose eyes are open do not need to go to a church and look at a picture or statue of the Lord. In the eyes of every infant, in the smile of every innocent child, they receive the blessing of Christ.

It only means changing one’s outlook on life, and recognizing the divine in man. But man has ignored the divine spirit that manifests in humanity, and always prefers an idol, a painting, a picture, to the living God, who is constantly before him. For the sage, the seer, the saint, and the yogi who begin to see the master, and see him living, there is no place where he cannot be seen. Then everywhere the beloved master is ready to answer the cry of the soul coming from friend, father or teacher. And if we go a little further forward, we will find that the teacher speaks aloud, not only through living beings, but through nature. If the eyes and ears are open, the leaves of the trees become as pages of the Bible. If the heart is alive, the whole life becomes one single vision of His sublime beauty, speaking to us at every moment.

With love to the world,  the heavens are are smiling upon us all. Many shall be praying for peace today. Namaste from Amras .
