Overlooking All

 

Hello, and best wishes to everyone. This month’s guest photographer is also a family member, named Alex. A classical guitarist by profession, he took these pics during his recent working tour of Croatia. Lucky fellow. He was most taken by the very distinctive St Mark’s Cathedral, and also by the stunning Cathedral of The Assumption, with its two lofty spires overlooking all of Zagreb. And for those choices I don’t blame him.

Alex is a young, and very cheery sort of chap, so I felt that a footnote somewhat more facetious than usual would be fitting, I hope you agree.

I Wonder If

I must go down to the sea again, 
to the lonely sea and the sky;
I left my shoes and socks there –

A lonely beach, somewhere on the Welsh coast, facing the Irish Sea. Just a few reminders of Amanda’s recent travels.  I can’t get down to the coast nowadays, so these pics are the next best thing for me; and that’s why I like to share them.

For a couple of weeks I have been battling against a bout of bronchitis.  What a mess. But I’m finding my equilibrium again, and am recovering gradually.  That said, I think I need to rest me dodgy digits right now.
