From Horizon to Horizon

A warm welcome to you, dear readers. The photos above were taken by Luke, during his Christmas stay in Scotland. He is a fortunate fellow indeed, Scotland is one of my greatest loves, and one of the reasons why I miss travelling so very much.

The Highlands are one of the few places in these isles where you can find a spot, and gaze from horizon to horizon, aware that you might be the only living human being in that landscape. A vanishingly rare experience in such a crowded land.

On another note, if my monthly postings dry up this year, it might be because my ancient Mac is bleeding memory fast. It needs replacing more or less immediately. Our plan to replace the computer has been affected (among other things) by our government, which has plundered the social lifelines from us disabled folk. I am putting it mildly, but it is so. One wonders how they intend to spend their spoils.

For my part, I would not want to leave this world with the knowledge that I have so cruelly hurt so many who were helpless, and in my care. Especially when a great many of us became this way, one way or another, in the service of this country.

To be clear, I’ve had worse, and these words are not meant to convey any despondency. Far from it. The simple truth that I hope to convey, is that a clear conscience makes a peaceful heart, no matter what. When one door closes, a thousand swing open, and that part of us charged with the care of our moral wellbeing, our conscience, knows which way to take us. So please strive always to be of good cheer.

There will be more from Scotland next month, if posting is possible. Until then let us all remain ever true to our love and trust of the fathomless and blissful divine.

Peace, and Namaste from Amras.

Greetings dear readers, this post will be very short. My health has dipped quite a bit of late, and things are more difficult than usual. If I am late to respond to any likes, or comments, I apologise in advance.

I thought that I posted these pics back in 2012, but couldn’t find them after a search.  If anyone has seen these pics anytime in the past, you are welcome to let me know.

They were taken by Amanda during her Mediterranean voyage.

With that, as always, I wish for peace and wisdom to touch us all.  Namaste from Amras.

The Irresistible

Now, as the days grow shorter, and the trees shed their summer gear, I felt it was a good time to look back to just a few days ago, when those trees were at their most handsome. The irresistible wish to share such beauty fell upon the pics above. I hope you enjoy them.

Living as we do, in an aggressively materialistic society, we are sometimes subjected to scoffing tongues and pointed type. Many folk dedicate themselves to discouraging others from their spirituality. We all suffer for their ignorance.

As we need more light than darkness in our lives, I would ask any friendly reader, who agrees with me, to consider such folk in their payers tonight.

With that, I wish peace for every living soul. Namaste from Amras.

When You were Born

Rescue

What will it be like to go to sleep and never wake up?

And if you think long enough about that, something will happen to you.

You will find out, among other things, it will pose the next question to you.

What was it like to wake up after having never gone to sleep?

That was when you were born.

You are something that the whole universe is doing in the same way that a wave is something that

the whole ocean is doing… The real you is not a puppet which life pushes around;

the real, deep down you is the whole universe.

Alan Watts.

Namaste dear readers, I haven’t been feeling too again good of late, so I won’t write for long. My deepest appreciation goes out to all of you who sent kind wishes in response to our last post, thank you so much.

The duty of those who pray for peace, is to become peace itself, during times of turmoil. This is made achievable by nurturing a very good relationship with the deepest, and most intimate contents of our hearts. When forgiveness wipes the conscience clean, finally, faith becomes a radiant force for divine service.

With that, I shall leave you in peace. Until next time, best wishes from Amras.
