To All The Souls

Greetings readers. When I was a boy, playing with my friends in fields full of wild flowers, we knew why their petalled faces would follow the sun. In my imagination back then, flowers were like souls in heaven… always standing in perfect beauty, and bathed forever in glorious light.

This field of sunflowers from last August evokes those memories – and I feel that All Souls Day is the best day to share it. With loving wishes and gratitude to those who have gone before us, may we follow them with grace, knowing one day we will be reunited.

Until next time…

Celebrating Contrast

Greetings, I truly hope your Easter Day was a good one. My fingers, while improving, are still quite painful to use, so this is another short post. These bumblebee eye-view  pics were taken in our garden yesterday. I find those little white flowers quite gorgeous.

At times like these, when the sacred light of the world is shamelessly scorned, and open war is declared upon the innocent, listen carefully. Faith silently testifies that the wicked lose everything. The darker the shadow, the brighter the light. If we all light a candle in the night, it won’t be dark any longer. In the end, the light shines ever brighter.

Until next time, keep your candle burning.

As Hot as June

Continuing our marathon picture posting period, this time at our local garden centre. It was a March day, as hot as June, and time to pick some garden blooms. With its friendly tea shop, and pleasing atmosphere, our time in the see through nursery was well-spent.

As you can see, while Amanda was busy, choosing flowers, I was relaxed, sampling tea.

So, until next time, I will raise my cup and say a hearty cheers to all our readers.

Those whose eyes are open do not need to go to a church and look at a picture or statue of the Lord. In the eyes of every infant, in the smile of every innocent child, they receive the blessing of Christ.

While it Lasts

A Happy New Year to everybody. In these photos you can see how mild, and muddy we are having it for the time of year. It was chillier, in fact, throughout July and August than it is today. You won’t hear any complaints, however, from local folk, who are enjoying it while it lasts.

My brotherly thanks to all readers, and fellow bloggers. If sometimes I can be a bit slow to respond to you, this is due entirely to the ups and downs of living daily with an infirmity.

Meanwhile, a brand new year of opportunity beckons, and, when we look for them, opportunities to do good come to each one of us every day.

With my best wishes to everyone: peace from Amras.

Hortensio’s Delights

Tulipsii Tulipsiii Tulips

These tulips are a gift for your eyes. I hope you like them. They represent my thanks to all our followers, and friends.

The weather is improving, and, in my thoughts, I fondly anticipate the days of summer to come.

A few days ago, I came across the enthusiastically named “Cathar Prophesy of 1244”, and, because I felt that the words were both inspired, and inspiring, I decided to share them with you on this post.

THE CATHAR PROPHECY OF 1244 AD  concerning the RE-ESTABLISHMENT OF THE INNER CHURCH OF LOVE

It has no fabric, only understanding.

It has no membership, save those who know they belong.

It has no rivals, because it is non-competitive.

It has no ambition for it seeks only to serve.

It knows no boundaries for nationalism’s are unloving.

It is not of itself because it seeks to enrich all groups and religions.

It acknowledges all great Teachers of all the ages who have shown the truth of Love.

Those who participate, practise the Truth of Love in all their beings.

There is no walk of life or nationality that is a barrier. Those who are, know.

It seeks not to teach but to be, and by being, enrich.

It recognises that the way we are may be the way of those around us because we are that way.

It recognises the whole planet as a Being of which we are a part.

It recognises that the time has come for the supreme transmutation, the ultimate alchemical act of conscious change of the ego into a voluntary return to the whole.

It does not proclaim itself with a loud voice but in the subtle realms of loving.

It salutes all those in the past who have blazoned the path but have paid the price.

It admits no hierarchy or structure, for no one is greater than another.

Its members shall know each other by their deeds and being and by their eyes and by no other outward sign save the fraternal embrace.

Each one will dedicate their life to the silent loving of their neighbour and environment and the planet, whilst carrying out their task however exalted or humble.

It recognises the supremacy of the great idea which may only be accomplished if the human race practises the supremacy of Love.

It has no reward to offer either here or in the hereafter save that of the ineffable joy of being and loving.

Each shall seek to advance the cause of understanding, doing good by stealth and teaching only by example.

They shall heal their neighbour, their community and our Planet.

They shall know no fear and feel no shame and their witness shall prevail over all odds.

It has no secret, no arcanum, no initiation save that of true understanding of the power of Love and that, if we want it to be so, the world will change – but only if we change ourselves first.

ALL THOSE WHO BELONG, BELONG. THEY BELONG TO THE CHURCH OF LOVE.

And with that, until the next post, I bid you peace; and namaste from Amras.
