Hurry on Sundown

Sundown

Greetings, and thank you to our readers. For those who may not know, the title is named after an old Hawkwind song, and the following paragraph is my new twist on the message of the lyrics.

See what tomorrow brings. When I look into my mind’s eye – I see only peace. I hope this vision is shared with many, because nothing in this world can really be what it appears to be, when the world itself is a perfect creation, crafted by the perfect creator.

What is real is what we feel when all we have is love. I feel that it is a worthwhile exercise to mine the faith we held as children, and trust that despite all its woes and lamentations, the world is always being born anew for those who love.

The photograph was taken last year in Liverpool by Amanda’s sister, and donated most kindly for our readers. It brings to my mind thoughts of souls we have known, who had to leave us behind, and sail away gracefully aboard proud white ships to the silvery shores of the undiscovered country.  They are ever in our hearts.

With that said, I will bow out for now, and hope to return soon.

Peace from Amras.

When you stop to pray for peace, the world depends on you.

While it Lasts

A Happy New Year to everybody. In these photos you can see how mild, and muddy we are having it for the time of year. It was chillier, in fact, throughout July and August than it is today. You won’t hear any complaints, however, from local folk, who are enjoying it while it lasts.

My brotherly thanks to all readers, and fellow bloggers. If sometimes I can be a bit slow to respond to you, this is due entirely to the ups and downs of living daily with an infirmity.

Meanwhile, a brand new year of opportunity beckons, and, when we look for them, opportunities to do good come to each one of us every day.

With my best wishes to everyone: peace from Amras.

The Red Carpet

Greetings. How beautiful is this world: created for us.  I can never find words adequate to describe the wonder of being alive. The red carpet is rolled before the feet of a monarch; and are we not, each and everyone of us, the anointed monarch of our own lives? To take these pics, I need to be driven into the forest, which is otherwise within walking distance. From there, I lean against the car, or hobble for a few feet, using my trusty walking stick to save me from an undignified tumble. On this occasion, as you can see, the said carpet had been prepared in advance. The local church, atop the hill, crowns the forest. I enjoyed immensely the job of taking these pics, and hope sincerely that you enjoy viewing them.

I want to take this occasion to thank everyone who drops by this blog. Your visits are appreciated thoroughly, and may I say too, that your blogs are always inspiring to me. So, despite the howling cacophony that thunders on without, peace is real, and is found only within. And within every blog I read, I sense a longing for that peace to be shared.

May those of us for whom peace is the both the destination, and the path, be ever more mindful of this truth in the crazy days just ahead.

Hoping as ever to return soon. Namaste, and peace from Amras.

To Be Alive

Greetings, I’m back, already. This is a quickie from me, just to say thank you, for all the kind words and wishes I have received since returning to the fold. I am touched deeply by your kindness. These pics are a few weeks old now, but it is never too late to enjoy the living wonders of creation. When the day of grace unites humanity finally, then our beating hearts will surely feel as light as butterflies wings. And what a joy it will be, just to be alive.

I wonder, by the way, if our smiling frog was considering snacking on the butterfly.

Until next time, Peace.

A child’s mind, lacking a developed cortex, is virtually incapable of discrimination.

The child inevitably makes many false evaluations of the world.

Many of these false-to-facts judgements are conditioned into the nervous system on the

‘unconscious’ level, and can be carried over to adulthood.

Hence, we have a well educated man or woman who reacts in an infantile fashion.

Eternal Day

Right Hand Path

The soul longs, with its deepest intensity, for self-preservation. It is the spiritual conviction in that deep cryptic being of ours that we are born of eternal day and made in the image of God to traverse a heavenly way. It is the strongest emotion we have. Why is this true unless way back there, in the beginnings of creation, there was incarnated in us that deathless Principle of Life which of Itself knows no defeat? We may analyze ourselves all we want to, and get a certain satisfaction out of so doing, but there can never come lasting peace and happiness without spiritual conviction, the reason being that Spirit is Reality. ~ Ernest Holmes.

To all friends, followers, and fellow bloggers, (I am too ill to write more for now) – Blessings, and Namaste from Amras.
