That Mysterious Globe

Even in the darkest of times, the light of the sun’s reflection will find us if we seek celestial guidance. Having been a keen amateur astronomer since the age of seven, when my father bought me my first telescope, my interest led me to discover that today’s full moon brings that mysterious globe closer to earth than it has ever been during my lifetime, or will be again until my 81st Birthday.  This fact makes it a ‘Supermoon.’

I learned, back then, a Polish fairy tale about two boys, brothers, who stole the moon one night when it was hanging over their house, like it does in my pics. Fortunately for the moon, and everything else for that matter, I chose to leave it where it was. If I remember correctly, those two boys got into a whole lot of trouble for their misdeed.

The pics, were taken in September, with today’s post in mind. I expected it to be way too cold for me to head outdoors with a camera on any night in November. I hope you enjoyed them.

Once Again

Around these parts, we have had some surprisingly cold weather  during recent weeks, and this fact has been somewhat challenging. Summer though, returned just the other day, and it gave me enough disposable energy to go a-pic-hunting.

I return again therefore with photos to share. Although posting is difficult while my computer suffers its own set of disabilities, my camera is working just fine; so please enjoy the freshly taken pics above.

She Stands

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

With her petals of pink, white, and yellow, our four-year old wisteria models her first ever cascading blooms. She stands and winds her branches decoratively around our old garden swing. We had almost given up on her ever blooming, until a few days ago. Our garden, despite the unseasonably chilly weeks just gone by, remains my favourite ‘room’ in the ‘house’.

As there is not one single soul among us that is not suffering in some degree, every moment spent in peaceful contemplation, or just silently enjoying an object of beauty, is a healing balm for the soul. I love the extraordinary level of emotional feedback I experience when I remember to enjoy the sensation of breathing. Ten years ago, I had much difficulty breathing, and am more than happy to have left that state behind me. Five years ago, I started using one of Dr Hulda Clark’s “Zapper” devices, and almost overnight cured myself completely of the emphysema that had clung to me. Since then, I haven’t had a head cold, or a sore throat either. These are happy facts.

Another happy fact is that truly there are more good than bad influences at work in this world, if it were not so, doesn’t it stand to reason that we wouldn’t even have a world left to work in? One completely undeniable fact is this, life is fascinating.
