Namaste, and greetings. This post is a simple tribute to the beauty of crystals. All the above pics were taken in 2004, using an early digital camera. As flowers grow from soil, crystals grow from stone. Crystals remind me of the parable of the lilies of the valley,  “Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his glory was adorned like one of these.…”

When we ponder the many ways that crystals come into being, we can gain insights that will enhance our appreciation for all of creation. From atoms to devas, to crystals, to rainbows, to galaxies, to angels. We stand in the very centre of infinite creation. We are one with all, and all is one with us. According to Rudolph Steiner, the world is crystallised from the consciousness of the highest angelic beings, who give off their energetic and etheric substance to form the matrix of all things on earth.* So with all these deep connections that the intuitive mind makes when pondering the world within, and the understanding of how minerals, with their perfect atomic geometry, are connected to the workings of our bodies, our appreciation of the great divine mystery, felt deeply within the silence of our central selves, is enhanced with ever more heartfelt appreciation and gratitude.

Since our previous post, Amanda, Luke, and I were stricken with the latest flu strain that is rampaging everywhere. They have more or less recovered now, and I, despite all odds, am recovering rather well too. It felt for me like a mini dose of salmonella; so I do hope sincerely that no reader suffers the same. Take good care everyone.

Seven Crystals Metaphysical: Part 5

Thank you to all who have sent  healing and kind words to me.

Tonight I am determined to overcome my dodgy body, and contribute something to our ever blossoming world.  This is the fifth section in our seven part series aimed at those who wish to use their crystals intuitionally.  Please enjoy.

CALCITE

Calcite helps to build a bridge from the physical to the spiritual body.

It activates and clears the crown and brow chakras.

Calcite is useful when stabilizing the emotions.

As calcite builds a bridge between the physical and spiritual realms, it can be applied to all of the subtle bodies in the auric field.

It is felt by certain sensitives that calcite transmits colour to and from the spiritual realms.

When applied as a generator to the chakras and the aura, calcite immediately sends colour and strength to the area being worked on.

These subtle energy hues have an uplifting effect on the whole aura, it feels similar to being in a childlike state of mind.

When holding a clear calcite, we can channel any mentally chosen colour into any part of the auric field, from crystal to subject.

The spine is the channel for this movement.

These subtle movements of proprioceptive* awareness require practice to gain familiarity with.

Thus calcite can help us to recognise the illumination of the light body within the physical structure.

If calcite is broken the pieces all retain the original crystal form.

Not unlike a hologram, calcite holds its signature vibration in every part, and reminds us that we can never be truly broken; and also that we are ‘One’ at the centre of our beings.

Calcite helps to energetically rebuild damaged RNA/DNA.

Calcite strengthens and clears the environment in a crystal layout.

Can also be used in energy grids to stabilise any large environment.

Calcite is calming to an overactive or disrupted area, sending focused channels of finest light to the gridded environment.

As one recognizes ones’ illuminated presence through the healing effect of calcite, recognition of the total self may be achieved.

This is our evolutionary spiritual destination, to become perfect living, loving structures on planet Earth.

 

*Proprioception is the awareness of our internal bodily processes.

Deep Time and the Mohs Scale

How old could the crystal in your hand be?  Lets use analogy to help us grasp the figures.

Imagine that a human life of 70 years is equal to 1 minute.

A piece of Rock Crystal would then be a year old. [That is 70 x 60(minutes)  x 24(hours) x 365(days)].

The dinosours would have disappeared 2 years ago.  Diamonds would be 30 years old.

Zircon would be 90 years old.   Earth would be 150 years old.

THE HARDNESS OF CRYSTALS

Crystals are gauged for their relative hardnesses,(H), according to the Moh’s scale .  The scale goes from 1 to 10, where 10 is the hardest. Each mineral, from N0. 2 upwards can scratch those below it, but not those above. As our fingernails are usually around H2.5,  they can be scratched by calcite, but not by talc. For reference, a pen-knife is H6.5.
