Reminders

Greetings, and top of the day to everyone. The above pics are reminders of a truly great summer, just passed. All too soon the land must sleep, as though dead – and all will dream of spring. The first eight pics were taken in our garden by me. Amanda took the others whilst out and about. All these pics were taken in July, except the sun seen shining through leaves; which belongs to the next paragraph. Please enjoy.

The beauty of the natural world soothes the soul, and calms the mind. When I stand beneath our tallest leafy tree, in silence, and warm Autumnal sunbeams dance merrily across my face – then, above all else, I know that I am standing in the light of our Creator’s love for all. I hope you feel this way too.

Until next time, peace – and may you enjoy many more days of warmest sunshine.

July supp

‘Tis hard for man to rouse his spirit up–

It is the human creative agony,

Though but to hold the heart an empty cup,

Or tighten on the team the rigid rein.

Many will rather lie among the slain

Than creep through narrow ways the light to gain–

Than wake the will, and be born bitterly.

But he who would be born again indeed,

Must wake his soul unnumbered times a day,

And urge himself to life with holy greed;

Now ope his bosom to the Wind’s free play;

And now, with patience forceful, hard, lie still,

Submiss and ready to the making will,

Athirst and empty, for God’s breath to fill.

Ruby Red and Russet

After the rain, we can tiptoe together on a crimson carpet, through leaves of ruby-red on russet. Our garden hosts seven Japanese Maples; whose leaves fill every corner when November comes.

I find the colours breathtaking, and I enjoy sharing them. From flaming Acer leaves, to a golden butterfly perched on a ginkgo branch, and a violet hydrangea, whose petals turn blue when cold. These were all taken over the last three weeks. Please enjoy.

Indescribably wonderful is the gift of sight, and now is a very fine moment in which to give thanks for that gift, and to send much love to those who are forced to live without it.

May the light of love for this good earth shine forth brightly from the eyes of one and all, from this moment forwards, and then on forevermore.

Peace from Amras.

“When you learn to look with love in your eyes at all around you

and appreciate the beauty of your planet,

you will know that you are free at last.”

Montague Keen.

Green, Red, and Gold

Greetings. Autumn’s finest, as viewed in various corners of our garden throughout October. With leaves so red beneath a sky so rarely this blue of late, what a blessing it is indeed to enjoy the garden on a sunny day. And although it’s becoming bitterly cold at times, well, there’s always Christmas to look forward to.

When the sun still shines in our hearts, on even the darkest of days, then we can always see the road ahead. The sun never shines in anger, or in judgement. It never shines for one, and not the other. It harms none but those who aren’t prepared.

The poet Charles Causely wrote “I am the great sun, but you do not see me”. May we never be so blind – because the sun is an example of the ways of heaven.

I will just insert a note here, to say that I am having technical difficulties when attempting to like some of my favourite blogs. I find great value in all of your works, and always wish to show my appreciation by liking. So please accept my apologies.

Having said that, I hope you enjoyed the pics – and now it’s Namaste, and peace from me.

In my Soul there is a temple, a shrine, a mosque, a church
where I kneel.

Prayer should bring us to an altar where no walls or names exist.

Is there not a region of Love, where the Sovereignty is illuminated nothing,

Where ecstasy gets poured into itself and becomes lost,

Where the wing is fully alive but has no mind or body?

In my Soul there is a temple, a shrine, a mosque, a church
that dissolves, that dissolves in God.

Capture This

With greetings, and thanks to all readers. Following on from the previous post, (link below,) I took these pictures of November’s Super-moon through my window. The wind, as you can see, was shaking the bare branches of a chestnut tree, thus helping me to capture this pleasing effect. I hope you enjoy.

By the way, the twins I wrote about were Jacek and Placek from the story “The Two Who Stole the Moon.”

Well, that’s it from me for this quickie post. I wish for the wisdom, strength, and courage that comes from having natural, childlike inner peace, to touch the heart of each and every reader, in each and every moment; both now, and always.

Namaste from Amras.

And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

The Golden Season

Greetings from this writer. These pics are dedicated to those good readers who have sent healing wishes my way. The last five pics were taken one week later than the others, and I think it’s easy to see how fast the golden season encroaches.

Since returning, after experiencing a difficult summer, to a relatively manageable physical state, I am taking every opportunity, while it lasts, to  get out and capture local scenery at its best. If heaven permits, I will continue.

By the way, I hope you liked the alternative picture format, and I hope too to return very soon.

With thanks from me. Peace, and Namaste.

Beside me singing in the Wilderness,
And oh, Wilderness is Paradise now.
