I Reveal Thee

On the day of the harmonic convergence, 1987, my life changed beyond recognition. I changed address.

Four homeless weeks had elapsed since I sacrificed 33 years of familiar middle class comfort to adopt a hard and reclusive life atop a tower block in a neighbourhood dominated by crime. I was on my way to today, and I was alone.

That night arsonists attacked a neighbour on my floor. It was sticky and humid, I had not eaten for days and was undergoing deep culture shock. I spent the night in meditation.

Despite these painful experiences, I was aware of the celestial events taking place, and my intention was to be an active participant in the slow transformation of the world.

Now, 25 years to the day here I am, and here we all are. I am not in the physical condition I might have expected to be, but against all odds I am here with all of my sisters and brothers of the planet Earth; and I declare my history validated.

“ Iacho me,  phaino se, phrontizesthe”: “I proclaim myself, I reveal thee”.

Namaste, Amras.

    1. Yes, it’s me. I took the castle in the clouds from a mural I painted in ’69, the walking boy and dog from an airbrush painting in ’86, and the starry background is a montage of several NASA space pics. Thanks for enjoying.
