Perpetual Motion

In my practice of meditation I concentrated on this and reflected on how the great world was upheld in space. On how the great world was kept in perpetual motion. On how my body was kept in motion, moving and standing, on the rhythmic vibration of it’s life established and maintained by breathing. Upon the movement of the mind, thoughts arising and passing.  I reflected upon these various things and marveled at their great sameness without any difference save in the rate of vibration. I realised that these vibrations had neither source for they’re coming, nor destination for they’re going, and that all sentient beings as numerous as the infinitesimal particles of dust in the vast spaces, were each in their own way topsy-turvy balanced vibrations: and that each and everyone was obsessed with the illusion that they were a unique creation.

Namaste, the starry background that inspired this artwork is from “Finding The Ashes of The First Stars.” The image is set on a black “Flower of Life” pattern, very fiddly to draw. I hope you enjoy.
